About Hello Happy Pitbulls

The Happy Pitbulls

The Happy Pitbulls

Hello Happy Pitbulls is a blog started in 2003 by Marilyn Clark following the loss of the original happy pitbull, Blauser. This blog has evolved into my personal rant space about everything ranging from my dogs (Zero and Fifi) to ankle surgeries (have had two and thankfully, I’m out of ankles!).  I am now on the 5th incarnation of my blog, having moved from Blogger to iBlog to Blogger to Typepad and now Wordpress.

The happy pitbulls are Fifi (b. 1998) and Zero (b. 2000) and they are the best four-footed companions a girl could ask for.  They have had a lifetime of weird medical stuff, ranging from Zero’s double TPLO (like a dog knee-replacement) surgeries and a recent thyroid carcinoma to Fifi’s resurgence of dermadactic mites (yuck).

And, if they could, they would eat cats for breakfast.

About Me

@marlinex

@marlinex

I describe myself on Twitter as: Self-proclaimed geek girl, early adopter, CA State government employee, and social media experiment gone wrong.  That pretty much sums it up.

You can find me in a number of places: Twitter, Govloop, Flickr, Delicious, Facebook, Google Reader, Friendfeed, and Linked In.  I grew up in Massachusetts, and after living in New York, Seattle, San Francisco and Berkeley, I have settled in Woodland, California.

I am a government employee working for the State of California.  I tend to take it personally when people cite stereotypical state worker ethics, and I talk about that frequently in my various social media sites. I work in web communications and spend a great deal of my life outside of work researching trends in delivering information to and engaging with constituents.  I know, geeky, but to me - fascinating.

Thanks for checking out the blog. Got a question, let me know!

Disclaimer: The writings, thoughts, opinions, and ideas written on this blog and Twitter (or commented on by me on other blogs) are solely those of my own and do not represent those of any Local, State, or Federal Government agency.  So there.

    Hi there, my name is Elena & I came across your post about recovering from peroneal tendon rupture? I have the same issue but haven’t been properly diagnosed yet…still waiting on my MRI.
    I wanted to read your blog about it with pics but don’t know how to find it…
    I’m not geeky enough! LOL
    Can you please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks so much
